___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The three pictures below show how ZooKeeper Street Rods cut the damaged '71 tail off and welded on a '74-'77 tail. Custom '68-'73 Corvette bumpers were also fabricated. A custom lower valance with a licence plate holder and exhaust holes were made.
The windshield and back window has square tubing welded in place to flush the windows with rest of the car. Just be careful not to heat the roof too much and warp the roof! ... It takes a long time to get the roof straight again after stopping it from oil-canning!
Door handles and side markers were shaved.
Besides the newer pictures showing the car painted, these pictures show the body modifications when the car had the body panels trial fitted. Flush mounted windowshield is also shown.
Other body/appearance modifications include filled formula hood vents, turn signal in headlight assemblies and wheel flares/spoilers. |
